Editing and customizing your checklist in Timeline Genius allows you to tailor it to fit the specific needs of your event. This guide will show you how to make the most of these features to enhance your event planning efficiency.
How to Edit Your Checklist
Access Your Checklist:
Open the checklist you want to edit from your Timeline Genius dashboard.
Edit Task Details:
Click on any task to edit its details.
You can change the task name, due date, and add any necessary notes.
Add New Tasks:
To add a new task, click the “Add” button.
Enter the task details, set a due date, and assign it to a person if needed.
Delete Tasks:
To remove a task, click on the 3 dots alongside the task and select the delete option.
Duplicate Tasks:
To duplicate a task, click on the 3 dots alongside the task and select the duplicate option.
Change Task Group:
Customizing Your Checklist
Reorder Tasks:
Drag and drop tasks to reorder them.
This helps you prioritize tasks and organize them in a logical sequence.
Create Task Groups:
Organize tasks into groups based on categories or phases of your event.
To create a new group, click the “Add” button, select "Task Group" and name your group.
Set Task Priorities:
Drag and drop tasks to sort them by priority
Use emojis to portray Priority status
Use color coding or labels to differentiate between high, medium, and low priority tasks.
Ensuring All Items Appear on Your Full Checklist PDF
Review the Checklist:
Before downloading or previewing your checklist, review your entire checklist to ensure all tasks are included on the Full Checklist.
Generate PDF:
Click the “checklist actions” button and select “download" to directly download the PDF to your computer, or select "preview" to open the PDF version in a new tab.
