How to Delete Categories Within a Checklist

Need to clean up your checklist and get rid of an old category? We've got you covered! Just follow these simple steps to delete a category without losing any tasks you want to keep.

🧹 Step-by-Step: Deleting a Category

  1. Open a Checklist

    • Navigate to the event and open the checklist where the category lives.

  2. Sort by Category

    • This will organize your tasks so you can clearly see everything under each category.

  3. Re-categorize Any Tasks You Want to Keep

    • Before deleting a category, make sure to move its tasks to a new or existing category.

    • ⚠️ Important: If you skip this step, the tasks under the deleted category will be permanently removed.

  4. Click the Three Dots Next to the Category Name

    • Look to the right side of the category header.

  5. Click "Delete"

    • Confirm, and poof — the category is gone!

NOTE: You won’t be able to delete a category from the All Tasks View. You’ll need to be inside an individual event checklist to make this change.
