Customizing Time Displays: How to Enable or Disable Repeat Times

Streamline how you view simultaneous events with our repeat times feature.

Updated over a week ago

Managing an event timeline can often involve multiple activities occurring at the same time. At Timeline Genius, we recognize the need for clarity and customization, which is why we offer the option to enable or disable repeat times in your timelines. This feature allows you to control how you view and present concurrent events. Let's walk through how you can tailor this setting to your preference.

Understanding Repeat Times

Repeat times refer to the display of the same time entry next to each event that occurs at that time. For example:

  • With Repeat Times 'On': If you have five events starting at 10 a.m., each will display '10 a.m.' next to it.

  • With Repeat Times 'Off': The time '10 a.m.' will appear once, followed by the list of events occurring at that time.

How to Toggle Repeat Times

Adjusting this setting is straightforward:

  1. Company Name Dropdown: Click on your company name in the upper corner of the Timeline Genius interface.

  2. Preferences: From the dropdown, navigate to 'Preferences'.

  3. Show Repeat Times Option: Scroll down to find the 'Show Repeat Times' setting. Here you can choose:

    • 'Yes' to show repeat times.

    • 'No' to display the time once with subsequent events listed underneath.

  4. Update to Save: After making your selection, remember to click 'Update'. This ensures your preference is saved and applied to your timelines.

The Choice is Yours

Whether you prefer to have each event clearly marked with its starting time or you like a more streamlined look, this feature gives you the control. Here are some things to consider:

  • Visibility: Repeat times can make it easier for some to quickly see when each event begins.

  • Simplicity: Not repeating times can reduce visual clutter and make a timeline look neater.

Final Thoughts

This customization option is part of our commitment to providing you with a personalized and efficient planning experience. As you prepare for your next event, take a moment to decide which option works best for you and your team.
