With our new feature, you can now specify an end date for events, making it easier to manage multi-day weddings and events. Here’s what you need to know:

Header Date Formats

The header in the Timeline and Checklist Edit Views will now display dates in these formats:

1. Single Date

  • Format: Wednesday, December 27, 2024

  • Example: If your event is a one-day wedding on December 27, the header will simply read, “Wednesday, December 27, 2024.”

2. Date Range (Within a Single Month)

  • Format: December 27-29, 2024

  • Example: If your event spans December 27 to December 29, 2024, the header will display: “December 27-29, 2024.”

3. Date Range (Spanning Multiple Months in the Same Year)

  • Format: Oct. 25 - Nov. 6, 2024

  • Example: If your event starts on October 25 and ends on November 6, 2024, the header will display: “Oct. 25 - Nov. 6, 2024.”

4. Date Range (Spanning Multiple Years)

  • Format: Dec. 27, 2024 - Jan. 9, 2025

  • Example: If your event starts on December 27, 2024, and ends on January 9, 2025, the header will display: “Dec. 27, 2024 - Jan. 9, 2025.”

Notes on Functionality

  • The end date is optional. If your event does not require an end date, you can leave it as a single date.

  • Removing an End Date: If you add an end date but later decide to make the event a one-day event, simply delete the text in the end date field. Do not select the same date as the start date—just clear the end date entirely to revert to a single-day format.

  • Dashboard Visibility: If the event has an end date, it will be shown on your dashboard alongside the start date, so you can easily see the full date range for your event.

  • The header format will automatically adjust based on the date range you select.

  • This feature is especially helpful for multi-day weddings, destination events, and corporate functions.

How to Use the New Feature

  1. Navigate to your event: Open the Timeline or Checklist Edit View.

  2. Set the Start and End Dates: Click on the date field to input both the start and (if applicable) the end date.

  3. Automatic Formatting: The header will display in the correct format based on your selected dates.

FAQs

  • Can I change the date format? No, the format is set to ensure consistency across all event timelines.

  • What if I only have one day? Simply use the single date format. The end date is not required for single-day events.
