Updated over a week ago

Your timeline is completely customizable, allowing you to tailor it to your specific needs. You have the ability to edit each item on the timeline by clicking on it in the "Edit" view and making changes directly in the text box that appears. You can add bullet points, highlight important details, upload images, or change the font color to emphasize certain items.

  1. From the “Edit” view of your timeline, click directly on the item you’d like to edit.

  2. Adjust the date, time, or text fields as necessary. You can even alter the style of your text, add a table, or color-code based on your preferences. Click “Save.”

  3. If you’d like to add a vendor or venue, click the “Add Venue/Vendor” link.

  4. Type in the appropriate vendor/venue contact, then click “Save and Continue”.

Changing the Name of a Timeline

To change the name of a timeline, simply open the timeline, click on the name, and begin typing.

Changing the Time of a Timeline Item

If your event schedule changes, you can easily adjust the time of each item by clicking on the time on the left side of your timeline item. Timeline Genius will automatically move the item to the appropriate spot in the timeline.

Alternatively, you also have the option to simply move a timeline item by dragging and dropping it. When you do this, the system will prompt you to enter the new corresponding time for the item.

To make it easier for you to locate the changes you make on a timeline item, you can toggle on the "Auto Scroll" option located at the top. It will automatically bring you to the section where the edit was made, saving you time and effort. Learn more about the auto-scroll feature here.

Collaborators

If you click on a collaborator's name while in the "edit" view, a new tab will appear, allowing you to preview their timeline PDF.

Attaching Files

In addition, you have the ability to link relevant files and distribute them with those you are working with on your timeline. Once you upload a file, it will only be visible to you until you choose to share it with a collaborator. Keep in mind that any files that are uploaded will need to be printed separately from the timeline and will not be displayed on the timeline itself.
